Purposeful Innovative Beautician received a grant from United Ways Black Empowerment Works program. P.I.B is composed of student and licensed beauty professionals such as Barbers, cosmetologist, nail technicians and estheticians. We service children and teens currently residing in foster/adoptive care, group homes, and mental health programs. Our target audience is African American children residing in non-African American homes but our services are beneficial to families of ALL races, age, and gender. P.I.B also provide beauty services to families exploring job opportunities that are currently residing in homeless shelters and outpatient facilities. “When you look good, you feel good”
November 13, 2022, P.I.B will host a beauty expo providing basic hair services such as a hair cut, hair style, manicure, and/or a mini facial. Each technician may service at least 5 clients. Tables will be provided so all you have to bring is your tools and supplies. Each styling booth rental includes a one month membership to P.I.B! After joining P.I.B, students are able to receive up to 15 clients per week and professionals up to 20!
