In honor of National Caregiver Month in November, The Lutheran Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Association invite all community faith leaders to attend our FREE Caring for the Caregiver Workshop. The workshop will be presented by Maggie Cattell, Program Manager of the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Indiana Chapter, and Rev. Barry Belknap, First Wayne Street United Methodist Church. This interactive workshop will focus on how to best support all caregivers within your faith communities--whether it be a caregiver of someone with a developmental disability, someone caring for an aging parent and children in the home, or a care partner of someone with Alzheimer’s, cancer or mental illness. Faith communities have the opportunity to support caregivers in a way that other community organizations do not: nurturing their mind, body and, most importantly, their spirit. We invite anyone who is a leader in their faith community including pastors, lay leaders, Stephen Ministers, senior ministry leaders, Mental Health Advocates, etc. to attend this workshop.
