On behalf of The First Church of God in Christ, you are invited to join us for Pastors and First Lady Appreciation Day on Sunday, October 16, 2022, as we extend our thanks and appreciation to Pastor Edward Parker for his ministry here at First Church for 27 years. This year we will not have our regular 11:00am worship service. Instead, we plan to have the appreciation at 2:00pm and a fellowship dinner immediately after service. There is no cost associated with this event. Our 2022 theme is “Your reward comes from working for the Lord.” The theme scripture is 1 Corinthians 15:58, Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. The speaker will be Pastor Tony Howard from Spirit Filled Church of Christ in Caryville, Florida. Our chosen color for this occasion is purple. Again, service will begin at 2:00pm with dinner to follow in the fellowship hall. We will NOT have Sunday school or the 11am worship service.
