Celebrate Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral – Advance Reservations Requested St. Mary’s Cathedral Daily Mass by St. Mary’s Cathedral Celebrate Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral – Advance Reservations Requested We welcome you to St. Mary’s Cathedral! Reservations via this Eventbrite page are requested to attend all Masses. Signing up here saves time for our parish office staff and provides the record-keeping required by the state in the event that contact-tracing is required. We are happy to have you back at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Logistics: Please enter through the main doors of the Cathedral on Couch Street. The doors will be unlocked at least 15 minutes before Mass time. The Door Monitor will meet you and verify your name. Thank you in advance for your patience with our volunteer Door Monitors. Please do not enter until the Door Monitor checks your name off the list. Note that the doors are locked after Mass begins and you will not be able to enter. Seating is in the main pews of the Cathedral; skip the pews with the “No” signs and that are taped off. If you have 5 or more persons in your group, we ask that you sit in the transepts; there are signs on the end of the pews. Face masks are required for all. In light of guidance issued by the Oregon Health Authority, face coverings are required for all people gathered in all churches in all counties in Phases 1 and 2 of reopening in Oregon. Those are excepted who perform “activity that makes wearing a mask…not feasible,” like the presider (throughout Mass) and the lectors/cantors (while reading/singing). Exceptions are also made for people with disabilities and children under 5. Children 2 and under should not wear masks. FAQs: Can I just show up at the door? You can, but this makes more work for our volunteer Door Monitor who must write down all names and contact information of attendees and you are not guaranteed a seat. We are now able to have 50 attendees at each Mass which could result in a long line at the door. For this reason, we ask that you sign up in advance using this tool. What about people who don’t have internet access? Just call the parish office during office hours and we will sign you up via Eventbrite. What if I’m not comfortable attending a Sunday Mass? Please remember that you need not attend Mass on the weekend (Archbishop Sample’s dispensation remains in place). What is important is to participate at Mass at some time during the week, whether on a weekday or a Sunday. Who should not attend Mass? Do not attend Mass if you feel sick, or if you suspect you may be sick, or if you should be under self-quarantine due to possible contact with a person who has Covid-19. Further, anyone who is at risk because of an underlying health issue or who is 65 or older is strongly encouraged to avoid the risk of attending public Mass. Do I need to print and bring a ticket? No, you don’t need to bring anything with you. We will print our attendance list from Eventbrite and this will be used by our Door Monitors to check attendees in. I made my reservation via Eventbrite, but my name wasn’t on the Door Monitor’s list; why not? You may have signed up after we printed our Eventbrite list. If you made your reservation after we print our list, your name won’t be on it. Please be patient and give the Door Monitor your information again. How do I know if I signed up? Eventbrite sends you an email confirmation when you make your reservation. You may need to wait a few minutes to receive your email confirmation. What if I need to cancel? 1. Log in to your Eventbrite account, then click your order on the Tickets page. 2. Choose “Cancel Order”. 3. Check for an email from Eventbrite. This will allow others to attend if you cannot. You may also call the Parish Office at 503.228.4397 to cancel your order during office hours (M-Th, 9am-5pm; Fri 9am to Noon). Mass Schedule: Saturday Vigil Mass at 5:30pm Sunday Masses at 7:30am, 9:00am, and 11:00am Daily Masses at 7:30am and 5:30pm (No 7:30am Mass on Mondays)
