Bear came to the shelter as a friendly stray on July 27 -- he was found at Hwy 1 and Palm Coast Parkway which means he was probably dumped at the shelter off hours...so sad...anything to avoid a surrender fee? He is about 5 years old and is a sweet medium sized black cat. He loves attention and pets. Very loving. He has some some hair loss over his eye but the vet says it is fine and will grow back...
He does have FIV which means he was bitten by another infected cat. But FIV cats can live a long and healthy life -it just means they have a weak immune system so do not let him outside to eat squirrels! He is totally healthy and a FIV cat can live with other cats.. However, he is so sweet which is hard to believe after all he has been through. His previous owners probably let him go outside where he got infected! So sad.. He just needs a home that will love him and keep him inside.
He went to live in a cage at Palm Coast Petsmart 24/7 on October 1and hopes to get a home soon.
