Big Indie Punk/Post-Punk/Grunge Riffs ISO Guitarist

New York City NY

Description

We have a clear vision of rocking out to our big, catchy riffs and fuzz pedals, appreciating the value of "loud-quiet-loud" dynamics and a catchy hook. Driving, funky rhythm section and strong, literate lyrics. Fun, intense live shows. Already have plenty of strong tunes in the bag, plus a lot more waiting to get developed. Looking to play the city to bigger and bigger crowds with an eye on next summer's festivals and opening slots for more established bands. Want to record again in the coming months and see what that brings. Commitment of weekly rehearsals in Brooklyn having already practiced. Here's some musical touchstones for our sound (not just songs we happen to like): Nirvana: In Bloom, Radio Friendly Unit Shifter Smashing Pumpkins: Siva, Today Pixies: Gigantic, Gouge Away Radiohead: Airbag, Paranoid Android QOTSA: Hanging Tree, First It Giveth White Stripes: Dead Leaves, Offend in Every Way Black Keys: I Got Mine, Thickfreakness Hives: Hate To Say I Told You So, Tick Tick Boom King Gizzard: Robot Stop, Crumbling Castle Stooges: Search and Destroy, Dirt Sabbath: Sweet Leaf, Paranoid Zeppelin: How Many More Times, Dazed and Confused Joy Division: Transmission, Shadowplay There's a slightly dark overtone running through that angsty riff-fest. If that's the kind of stuff you enjoy playing, absolutely hit us up with a little bit about yourself and your influences and we'll jam out. Recordings are a big help, even if they are nothing like the bands mentioned. Other projects are fine (unlike hard drugs), as long as you can make our rehearsals and gigs reliably. Looking forward to hearing from you!
