Acting Musical Theater Students Learn to Act, to Sing and to Move Like A Broadway Star The Acting Musical Theater class is an exciting adventure. Each week students will learn to express themselves more easily, gain confidence, self-esteem, improve communication skills and develop poise. We will be doing relaxation and breathing exercises, voice work, theater games, improvisations, such as walking around “in character.” For example, if they were to pick out a baseball player, they might walk around practicing throwing a baseball into a mitt, and playing a game where they have to tell a story about an every day object. Many more improvisation games. Eventually, as the group gets to know each other, work on scene study and monologues, contemporary and classical. There will be performance opportunities on our stage.
