We bought 4 “pullets” a few weeks ago at Concord Feed in Livermore but, unfortunately 2 have turned out not to be pullets. We are not allowed to keep roosters where we live. We thought we were being responsible by purchasing sexed pullets and avoiding straight run chicks but, we didn’t seem to have any better luck getting girls this way. Pancake and Waffle are Buff Orpingtons purchased on August 6th. They are both sweet birds and we are sad to have to rehome them. We just started having them spend days outside with nights in the garage. They have been handled daily and treated as pets. They also have been eating organic chick crumbles and are vaccinated for Marek’s disease. We’d love to find homes for these sweet boys where they can grow into gorgeous roosters and watch over a flock of lovely hens.😍 Price is negotiable and only in the hopes of discouraging people from trying to acquire them as food or for fighting. If you are interested in either or both cockerels feel free to contact us. We may also have a Salmon Faverolle cockerel available in a couple weeks. His feather coloring is kinda starting to look more like a boy.😔
