Did you know adolescents whose parents have divorced are more likely to experience injury, accidents, and illness than children whose parents have remained married? And regardless of age, gender, and culture, children of divorced parents experience increased psychological problems. When marriages end in divorce, early care professionals are faced with unique challenges in meeting the needs of children and families as they navigate through the emotional and psychological impacts related to this trauma. This workshop will support participants as they are equipped to recognize, understand and meet the needs of children and parents that are facing divorce.
