"Irish in Danbury" walking tour

Join us on Saturday, October 8th for an "Irish in Danbury" walking tour, guided by AOH historian Phil Gallagher & Danbury historian Bill Devlin! We will meet at the Danbury Museum & Historical Society, 43 Main Street in Danbury, at 1 pm. The tour will take us up Danbury's Main Street to Elmwood Park, St. Peter's Church, and the Civil Way monument by the Danbury Library at the corner of Main & West Streets! Phil & Bill will guide us with information and stories about the Irish who settled and thrived in the Hat City! Time permitting, we will also carpool over to the old St.Peter's Cemetery on Sheridan Street in the heart of the 4th Ward, the home to many of Danbury's Irish residents. The rain date for the tour will be Saturday, October 22nd, also at 1 pm. Please register so we get an idea of how many people will be attending the walking tour.
