Do you want to make a tangible difference for the environment?
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE by helping reforest a portion of the Catskill floodplain at the Mawignack Preserve on Saturday, October 22nd at 10:00am.
The Mawignack tree planting activity matters because forested floodplains provide rich habitat for a variety of species, and also effectively store flood waters, reducing flood damage downstream.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE -- Join a small group of volunteers and staff from Scenic Hudson and the Greene Land Trust on Saturday, October 22nd at 10:00 am at the Mawignack Preserve to assist with planting 100+ trees. YOU will be a part of a phased effort to reforest an area of the Mawignack Preserve that lies within the 100-year flood plain of the Catskill Creek.
If you would like to help, please dress appropriately for the weather and bring work gloves.
Thank you!
