Playworks is the leading national nonprofit transforming student wellbeing through play.. Join us to learn the basic tools you need in order to bring intentional play back to your school site. The Power of Play—This workshop introduces the importance of play and lays the foundation for creating a safe, healthy, and respectful environment for children. It also includes a discussion of the various barriers to play children may face and how to overcome those barriers. Attendees will learn and play several games that support social and emotional skills and learning. Energize your team through play-based practices that lay the foundation for a safe, healthy recess and play environment. Game Facilitation - The Game Facilitation workshop prepares participants to successfully plan, teach, and facilitate games for groups of any size. Play creates opportunities for children to explore connect, and grow. Learn to teach and facilitate games in ways that are inclusive of all learning styles and to create smooth transitions between activities. As game facilitators learn to incorporate respect and inclusion in game time, they will foster a healthy community through healthy play.
