Save the date! Join us on Thursday, 10/13/22 for another edition of Create & Heal at the Carver, as we explore The Art of Storytelling with author, Paulette Tyson! This writing workshop will begin with African drumming and dancing, as we call upon our ancestors to prepare our minds and sprits for creating & healing. Paulette will share her journey of becoming a published author and how writing can center you, and provide therapeutic benefits. A note from Paulette Tyson: "Without judgment or reservation, my goal is to encourage people, even when they find themselves in dark places...to encourage you to write your story, and show you how to value and protect your words." This writing workshop will walk aspiring writers through the process of writing and publishing a book, followed by a book signing and a reading from her newest project with Paulette Tyson. Paper, pencils, and clipboards will be available for use while at the museum, however, please feel free to bring your own journals and writing supplies if you prefer!
