PLEASE JOIN US for a special evening to benefit the Follow Your Dream Foundation and their award-winning documentary film, PASANG: In the Shadow of Everest, the epic story of Nepal's first female Sherpa to summit Mt. Everest. This award-winning documentary is currently on a one-year festival run with official selection at festivals across the US and Internationally. PASANG is Nancy’s feature directorial debut and has been a ten year commitment to gaining access, tracking down, and telling Pasang’s story. A product of a powerful Marin and San Francisco based film team, Pasang’s story is a universal and urgent story of resilience and of claiming one’s rightful place at the table. Pasang’s journey demonstrates the remarkable power within each of us to create change. Join filmmakers Nancy Svendsen, Director, Dorjee Sherpa, Executive Producer, Christy McGill, Producer, Andrea Pierpont, Associate Producer and Vincanne Adams, PhD. - as well as other special guests - at what promises to be an unforgettable film event brought to life in the crown jewel of Larkspur, the beautifully renovated Lark Theater. LARK EVENING PROGRAM 6:00-7:00 PM: Social hour with small bites and local wines and beers. 7:00-8:30 PM: Film screening followed by Q&A with filmmakers. 8:30-9:30 PM: Dessert and drinks and an opportunity to talk with filmmakers and the cast members FOLLOW YOUR DREAM FOUNDATION The Follow Your Dream Foundation, a Marin County based 501(c)(3), tells the stories of courageous women who have overcome physical, racial, geographical and social challenges to achieve their dreams.
