Drummer and/or Guitar Player for Original Music

Jona Rei is seeking to fill in two positions for drums and rhythm/lead guitar to play original live music. Potential drummer must have experience practicing with a metronome and keep solid consistent time. Potential guitar player must know how to lock-in with the group and play well. Both positions must have reliable means of transportation and suitable gear for gigging. We’re looking for individuals that will be genuine friends, who are on-time, open-minded, have the ability to take constructive criticism, and are committed to playing/practicing with us. Ages 21-32 preferred. Non-smokers and drug-free preferred (stoners are ok). Our goals are to gig various places such as breweries, music venues, festivals, weddings, out-of-city gigs, and livestreams. We play for fun of course, but the expectation is to be compensated for our time. Plans for photoshoots, professional music videos, and merchandise for sale are in the future. Jona Rei is a group consisting entirely of original music intertwining pop, indie, hip-hop, rock, and even Latin elements. Jonathan “Jona Rei” fronts the group as the vocalist/songwriter and plays guitar. We currently have one studio album (2019) entitled “Simple Mind” and one single (2020) “Orchids” out on all music streaming platforms. There are also several DIY music videos viewable on YouTube and Instagram. The idea is to write and play good original music that both we and the audience will enjoy and have fun with.
