I have two young painted turtles, I had them for a while now and they are just great. Just don’t have the time for them anymore. They are great eaters. They eat pellets but then occasionally I would feed mealworms and they go crazy for that. The turtles are very friendly and will eat pellets out of your hand although you might have to crush the pellets. They want lots of human attention at times, and are perfect for kids.
