Hi! My name is McKenzie! I’m a Bull Terrier mix (yes that’s right I could be your very own Target or Bud Light mascot dog)! I’m currently in a foster home with four other dog brothers and sisters after spending almost 6 months in rescue boarding waiting on a foster or forever home. My foster parents don’t understand why I haven’t been adopted yet because they tell me how adoptable I am every day! My FAVORITE things are 1) playing with other dogs 2) getting lots of attention from humans 3) cuddling up on the couch. My foster parents say I’m medium/high energy because of how much I love to play, have epic zoomies (they said I could be Internet famous) and would make the perfect adventure dog for anyone who likes to go on hikes, go on road trips or has an active dog sibling I can play with! I REALLY want a forever home of my own for my second birthday! I originally was adopted from a shelter in New Mexico, but ended up being abused by a man, which is why I’m shy at first. I was then taken in by another family but they didn’t have time for me so I spent most of my days locked in a tiny kennel. Thankfully Freedom Brothers took me in and I’ve been the rescue’s go-to playmate when they’ve brought in new rescue doggies! I think my “work” here is done and now I’m ready to “retire” from doggy intros and start my new life as a family member in a home of my own! Can you help make my birthday wish come true?
