Cooper is a 5 year old Walker Coonhound that has been an outside dog all his life. The owner passed away a few months ago and I am helping the family try to find a new home for him. Cooper is up dated on his shots. He is currently being housebroken and will go “potty” on command outside which will be convenient while traveling with him. He is not fixed but arrangements are being made for him to be neutered before placement. He has had his teeth cleaned, has been crate trained (loves his crate) and trained not to jump on people. Cooper gets along good with other dogs, children and people. At this time he has no experience with cats or other animals. He has started obedience training through St. Jean Dog Training (a non-profit that donates money toward dogs vetting expenses and offers free training for dogs looking for a new home) and his training can be followed on facebook. Training includes walking on a loose lead, heeling, sit, drop, freeze, come and retrieving. Dog experience and a vet reference required.
