Any interest in starting an original Ska band?

Bass player here.....Is there any interest out there in staring an original ska band? Influences include Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Mighty Mighty Bosstones. I'ver been learning a lot of songs from the bands I mentioned for my cover band and they are so much fun to play, thought it might be fun to write and perform originals. Other than that, I don't have a lot of experience playing this style of music but I've been playing bass for over 25 years. I look forward to seeing if anyone responds. Cheers!
