Description

I'm trying to rehome my cat Milo. He's 7-8 years old, neutered, up to date on all shots until 2023, is litter trained, has his claws but won't use them on furniture if he has scratchers available, prefers to be indoor/outdoor. He loves kids, dogs, and other cats. He tends to act more like a dog in many ways and is almost 20 lbs. He's had blood work recently and they said all his levels are normal; he doesn't care for toys and prefers chasing other cats or hunting outside, which is where our problems lie. Milo used to be able to go outside when he wished and also had another cat friend he was bonded with. Well, the bonded cat died and we moved to an apartment last year, so he can't go out anymore. He's begun terrorizing my old cat, who's 14, to the point that the old cat doesn't eat and pees and poops everywhere. I have spent hundreds of $$$ on vet visits, a huge cat tree, puzzle feeders, and toys. No improvement. There's not enough room here to keep them separated, and all the other animals get along fine except for him--he's even started instigating things with my dog recently. We're all at the end of our ropes and can't keep living this way. Before we moved, he was a proven mouser. He killed mice, voles, Starlings (invasive), and all sorts of other pests. My neighbors loved him because he kept their fields clean. He's also "car smart," meaning he won't hang out in roads or driveways when engines turn on. He could be a really great farm or barn cat if you prefer a friendlier sort who wants to follow you around when you're outside. There's a small rehoming fee, just to make sure he's going somewhere nice. I'll send him with his records and food. He's really not a bad cat, he just deserves more than what he's getting in my home, and the rest of us deserve some peace as well. Call or text 9five4-six38-eight78nine.
