Come volunteer with us! Help us establish our new raised garden bed in our edible garden and learn about South Florida edible gardening. Eve, a Florida Master Gardener, will provide an educational discussion on raised bed gardening in South Florida, including soil mix, planning plant combinations, natural gardening practices such as pest management, and provide handouts for attendees to take home. Beata, our compost manager, will discuss the benefits to implementing compost as a natural fertilizer and for pest management. Volunteers will have the opportunity to get dirty making the ideal soil mixture and planting edibles into our new raised garden bed. (FREE 5:30pm–6:30pm) For those interested after volunteering, create your own potted mixed-herb garden to take home. Daniel, a member of our horticulture team, will be in the Garden Center to advise and assist. Enjoy a complimentary glass of rosé while you get dirty and have fun! ($20 6:30pm–7:30pm)
