Here, you will unleash your inner creative self using alcohol inks by dripping and manipulating ink on tiles. It’s a very forgiving art form. Take chances, use tools, drip away, and don’t be afraid to run a little wild. Numerous tools will be available to help you see what art possibilities are afoot.
You will receive basic instruction on how to apply to tile, including tools and rubbing alcohol to manipulate/play with the ink. You will also seal it with Modpodge and add ribbon to the edge of the tile to finish the look.
About the teacher:
Hello I am Laura 💖 I am an artistic creature by nature. In art I am a Jack of all trades and a master of none, but I’d rather play with it all than be a master of one (a slightly personally altered quote I love) - 36 years feels good on me. I am naturally curious and always wanting to try new things - I value art in all forms. One thing as a Virgo - I’ve always been a perfectionist and as a mom (she’s 13 and adored) I didn’t want to push what I see as “perfect” onto my daughter so I needed to learn how to let her ebb and flow and find her creative self. By doing this it changed the way I felt about art and how “imperfect” can be, in and of itself, “perfect”. I felt touched by this art form because of the lessons I learned about simplicity of just letting things fall where they fall, swipe left and right with a paint brush and spraying it with some rubbing alcohol to play with the different shapes and ways it moves.
