Our speaker Adam Shaw will be discussing "Rhythms, Teamwork, and the Occasional AH-HA," highlighting his journey from Coffee Buyer to Director and Lead Producer. My background is Engineering, but I knew I was going to need a job that kept me moving. I started Deeper Roots in 2011 with some friends I met during my time in university and it has allowed me to jump ship from engineering and build some businesses in our city. I’m happily married and I have three small kiddos who live in my house that keep us on our toes. Located in Cincinnati's historic and progressive Over-The-Rhine neighborhood, we specialize in handcrafted small batch wines including our Cabernet Sauvignon *Silver Medalist* 2020 Cincinnati International Wine Festival. Revel wines are made 100% onsite with fruit sourced from CA, WA and Chile using a process that originated in Italy by the Maieron family which has been passed down generation to generation. In addition to small batch wines, we're also known for our wine cocktails and local beer selection including our own small batch Revel beer. Our 3000 sq ft historic building houses up to 60 barrels of wine in the basement with the first and second floor being used year round for patrons to enjoy wine, food and friends. The second floor is popular for corporate and private events and features live music during the week and weekends. Our environment is very welcoming and hip in an artistic space which invites customers to relax with friends. #letsrevel Website Facebook Instagram FREE Coffee Provided by: Deeper RootsAfter becoming well-versed in crafting the perfect cup of coffee and forging a cooperative relationship with a community of coffee farmers in Santa Maria de Jesus, Guatemala, a handful of friends in Cincinnati, Ohio, formed Deeper Roots Coffee as a roasting company in 2011. With a shared and evolving vision to participate in the specialty coffee movement, they've continued to collaborate with likeminded coffee producers from diverse regions - exploring taste, quality and sustainability. As they've grown, they've been able to roast and share extraordinary coffees with coffee shop owners, chefs, baristas, office workers and home aficionados in Cincinnati and beyond. And they've opened coffee bars of our own to showcase the coffees and to have a creative, hospitable role in local culture.
