Description

Yoga and cacao are both practices that are meant to open up the heart, allowing us to find a sense of calmness and connection with the self and the Divine. Combining both practices gives us a profound sense of oneness and love that will permeate your entire being. We will begin with a yoga practice that focuses on the heart space while grounding down to Pachamama. Deonna will guide you through mindful yogic movements that connect your heartbeat to the Earth's natural rhythm. Class will include a fusion of asana, breath, sound, essential oils, crystals, and more. After a deeply restorative savasana we will gather around the fire in ceremony. Lauren will take us on a journey with the healing properties of cacao. Cacao is a sacred drink from South America made from the elemental forces of fire, water, earth, and air and used by the ancestors to open the heart, heal, and live in community. While around the fire we will partake in ritual including mindfully sipping and savoring our cacao, meditation, dance, sound, and other heart opening activities. We will close our experience in circle and community, allowing each person to share their experience. Please bring your own mug for sipping cacao. Beginner to advanced yogis are welcome. Self Care Investment: $40 To reserve your spot ahead of time prepayment can be made via Eventbrite or Venmo to @GoodVibesYogaStudio. (Pay via Venmo to avoid Eventbrite processing fees!) Cash or Venmo accepted the day of class. Please RSVP a minimum of two hours before class time. To join the magic please contact us via Facebook Messenger, email [email protected], or call/text 203-824-1929. About Lauren Kearney: Lauren is a 500 RYT and student of life. She has been on a journey of healing, learning and transformation travelling and living in Mexico and Peru. She is interested in the intersection between people and circling, creating open containers for personal healing and feeling. Her love and interest for Cacao has led her to a Mayan farm near pyramids in Palenque studying the sacred plant with other women. She is headed to a workshop in November in Tabasco, Mexico to further her knowledge and expand her connection. She believes in growing through open hearted work with cacao and through expansion, magic, and love.
