Description
It took over 300 million years for the Earth's oil and coal to accumulate under the surface. When you release a huge percentage of all that carbon in only 200 years, it warms the Earth. It warms the ocean, and changes its currents. Storms get more frequent and more powerful. In other areas, droughts become prolonged. Fires become more frequent, and burn longer. The environment in which the animals adapted to live over many millennia, changes and puts countless species at risk.
Pretending it isn't happening, is not a good plan.
