Bartl Nierzwicki, DMD, MD, PhD, FACS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon – board certified specialist Bartlomiej L. Nierzwicki, DMD, MD, PhD has received his dental degree with high honors from Boston University and his medical degree cum laude from University of Missouri-Kansas City. His Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency, as well as General Surgery Residency (PGY-1) were also completed at the University of Missouri. In addition, educated in the European tradition of maxillofacial surgery, Dr Nierzwicki holds a doctorate in medical sciences, with emphasis on radiation oncology of the head and neck. He also completed a sub-specialty fellowship in Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Dr Nierzwicki was fortunate to begin his academic surgery career at the University of Missouri immediately following his fellowship training. He served three valuable years of service as Assistant Professor at University of Missouri-Kansas City Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, as well as Residency Program Director involved in clinical and didactic instruction of oral and maxillofacial surgery residents and students. Dr Nierzwicki is a board-certified specialist, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, European Board of Oro-Maxillo-Facial Surgery, as well as National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.  He is currently a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Surgeons and American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and has been in practice since 1998. Dr Nierzwicki’s scope of practice is broad due to comprehensive training in maxillofacial surgical procedures and encompasses all areas of oral and cranio-maxillofacial surgery. Doctor speaks fluent Polish and Spanish, and is available to accommodate all referrals. He has lectured nationally and internationally and has published papers on a variety of topics related to his areas of surgical interest. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include snow skiing, snowboarding and scuba diving (PADI Divemaster).
