Creating for the Holidays! Join us on Saturdays at the Clay Studio to learn the hand building techniques you’ll need to make your own unique gifts this year. Each session will run 2:00-4:30 and will include all the tools and clay you will need with demonstration of the specific projects from 2:00-2:30, giving you 2 hrs. to indulge your creative side! Demonstrations will include techniques on slab building, pinch pots, poof pots (pressed plates), coils, carving and textures. Specific details will be given at each project/lesson. Join us for as many projects as you’d like! All pieces will require time to dry, bisque fire, & glaze fire which can take up to 2 weeks. All materials provided. Wear comfortable clothing that is ok to get dirty. Please bring a quart size Tupperware type container and one old cotton pillowcase or towel. Makers will learn slab building techniques to create and design soap dishes. Several options will be available (Oval, Square, or Rectangle) to choose from. Lesson will include using slump and hump molds, adding texture and design, along with adding embellishments (foot or handles). All pieces will be colored using underglaze with a clear coat of glaze to be applied prior to glaze fire. All pieces require time to dry, bisque fire & glaze fire which can take up to 2 weeks. $30 Instructor: Dianne Dolan
