Creating for the Holidays! Join us on Saturdays at the Clay Studio to learn the hand building techniques you’ll need to make your own unique gifts this year. Each session will run 9-11:30am and will include all the tools and clay you will need with demonstration of the specific projects from 9-9:30am, giving you 2 hrs. to indulge your creative side! Demonstrations will include techniques on slab building, pinch pots, poof pots (pressed plates), coils, carving and textures. Specific details will be given at each project/lesson. Join us for as many projects as you’d like! All pieces will require time to dry, bisque fire, & glaze fire which can take up to 2 weeks. October 15 ~ Gnomes – Create your very own Family of Gnomes Makers will learn how to create and build a garden gnome, holiday gnome, or just a gnome to make you smile. Lesson will include pinch pot techniques, adding textures and embellishments, along with using underglazes for color. A clear coat of glaze will be applied prior to glaze fire. All pieces require time to dry, bisque fire & glaze fire which can take up to 2 weeks. $30 All materials provided. Wear comfortable clothing that is ok to get dirty. Please bring a quart size Tupperware type container and one old cotton pillowcase or towel.
