Ranch Hand Live-Work Opportunity Start date: tbd Hours: Overnights/full time *Needs to have tiny home or RV to live in, on property VH, a family farm, is hiring a year round ranch hand. The ranch is a 3 acre property in beautiful West Petaluma is 6 minutes from Downtown and currently has horses, chickens, dogs, and cats. The right person will competently handle horses and various other animals with care and attention and is a self starter, friendly, and loves working outdoors. Responsibilities: Feed animals 7-8 am, 12-1 pm, 5-6 pm Muck stalls and turnouts Turnout horses//animals Exercise horses/animals when requested Clean water containers and keep filled General property maintenance Put horses/chickens/animals in stalls/cage at night Give horses daily supplements and/or meds Be responsible for all animals when out/out of town/vacation, as needed Keep track of supplies needed and communicate ahead of time Collect eggs/products The ideal candidate will possess these qualities: Reliable Trustworthy Honest Prior equine and livestock experience-min. 2 years Prior living onsite at farm Self starter To apply, please send email with interest and references.
