In addition to being a poet, Trevor is a 4th grade teacher at Berea Elementary School in the Greenville County School District. As a writer, he seeks"the beauty in the plain, genius in the simple, wonder in the ordinary and courage in the human." This event is free and open to all! About the Poet
Trevor Scott Barton is a 4th grade teacher at Berea Elementary School in the Greenville County School District. He is also an indie writer along the out of the way places among the out of the way people in downtown Greenville.
He looks and listens for beauty in the plain, genius in the simple, wonder in the ordinary and courage in the human.
As an elementary school teacher, he knows a little about a lot but over the past years he’s learned a lot about the largest creatures to have ever lived in the word Whales. He has become a whale genius in his community. You can find his published work in The Fib Review, The Green Shoe Sanctuary, The Greenville News, The State Newspaper and The Post and Courier Newspaper. Left Foot Poems is his first published chapbook of poems.
