She went on to work in retail in the beginning of her career, then made a switch to the restaurant industry becoming a General Manager for 12 years. She has had a passion for being a stylist for Commercial still photography since college, so when the opportunity presented itself, it was a natural progression. She has been a Food, Product and Set Stylist and Producer for nearly 5 years, using all of her culinary, management and merchandising experience to assist in creating imagery and producing projects for clients in various industries. Together her and her husband Chris (a Commercial Photographer) have built a business in the St. Louis area and work with a vast array of clients creating custom content for all types of media and advertising. Shaney will discuss the importance of using custom content in all aspects of marketing yourself and your business, and why stock content doesn’t create value for you or your company in gaining potential business.
