We are looking for a Ranch Hand to work with our 100+ goats. $19 hourly + performance reviews + quarterly bonus of 10% of salary (about $4,000 every 3 months) Help to maintain eight (8) acre Ranch grounds, facilities and equipment. Perform animal husbandry activities including but not limited to animal handling, feeding, administering medications and assisting Laboratory animal technicians. Assist landscape workers, maintenance personnel and contractors to replace and adjust sprinkler heads, trim weeds, plant, fertilize, mow, clean grounds and landscape areas. Clean, lubricate, adjust, paint, restore, and inspect equipment and facilities as directed by the Ranch Manager or designee. Document repair and maintenance activities in the appropriate equipment history files and report the usage of spare parts and supplies to help keep an adequate supply of critical items. Maintain a neat, clean and organized work area. Work with all Ranch personnel as assigned to promote an ever-improving safe working environment for all employees and ranch animals. Essential Duties: Feed Laboratory animals and ensure they have clean water. Monitor animal health, Assist Laboratory Animal Technicians with daily care tasks and use of all laboratory animals. Clean and maintain the condition of the animal holding areas, enclosures, cages, and facilities including laboratory space. Assist the Facilities team with the maintenance of the property. Repetitive lifting, pushing and pulling with upper and lower body of objects in excess of 125lbs is required. Regular, reliable and predictable attendance. May perform other job related duties as assigned
