Description

I have two bearded dragons up for adoption, while I absolutely love both of them, we can't give them the attention they deserve and want them to go to better home that will love and care for them. They are $40 each and come with their respective tanks, lights, light stands, and tank decor. Birdie is an orange/yellow female bearded dragon originally purchased from a PetSmart in around 2017. She's roughly 16 inches long including tail and 5 years old! Her tail was at one point broken from a cat attack occuring when she was small due to a faulty broken tank lid, but has fully healed! Despite it being very brown at the end, her tail is fully alive still. I constantly worried it was dead but every time she's been to the vet for checkups her tail has been checked to make sure it's alive and well. She is extremely friendly! She has never ever been aggressive or tried to bite me, and loves to lay on warm laps for some nice naps. She's a bit of a difficult eater as we think she has trouble with eyesight, and she may not notice things immediately unless it's brighter (like carrots or fruit) or moving, because of this she usually prefers to be hand or spoon fed. Her absolute favorite food is hornworms, she always immediately goes for them. Though she also enjoys blueberries as treats. Birdie enjoys being taken outside on warm sunny days, she likes to sunbathe outside and climb stones and just overall walk around. Birdie very much so enjoys sleeping in little caves or small spots, and will put all 4 legs back like a little plank pose. Peggy is a gray/dull brown bearded dragon of unknown gender (though we call her a she). Peggy is roughly 12 inches long inclueing her tail, and is significantly smaller than birdie. She is around 4 years old. Peggy is missing half of one of her back legs, we adopted her from a PetSmart after she had already had her leg amputation. Missing a leg does not slow her down a single bit and she loves to climb and run. Peggy gets stressed out if she's left in her tank to long, she gets upset and starts to claw at the glass to come out. To calm her down, she loves to come out and run around the room and climb whatever she can. She absolutely loves blueberries and scarfs them right down, and she loves any live bugs, especially if you feed her out of the tank and let her chase after it. Peggy also enjoys being hand fed, but will also eat on her own some. Peggy is also very friendly though if she is outside she can get scared and puff up if you go to pick her up from the top, as she thinks you are a predatory bird. Peggy does NOT like to go outside, she becomes very afraid and will always think you are a predatory bird. PEGGY GETS VERY PALE WHEN SHES ASLEEP!! We were super freaked out by it at first but it is totally normal and she's okay! It's just due to their circadian rhythm while their alseep, and she gets very pale. Both very well behaved in the bath, birdie likes to dunk her head underwater to drink water while Peggy likes to have the water dripped onto her mouth by a rag to drink. Birdie prefers to poop in the bath than in her tank, Peggy will poop in her tank but it should be cleaned quickly because she cannot walk over it because of her missing leg, and may drag it around and make a mess by accident.
