Looking for musicians w/vox for new indie folk-rock project

Description

Singer-Songwriter out of Yellow Springs looking for other musicians with backing/co-lead vocal ability and optional composition chops to start a new band project. I compose, write lyrics and play acoustic/electric guitar, mandolin, uke, some banjo and bass if needed. This project will have an indie acoustic/electric foundation with building dynamics, smooth vocal harmonies, rich layered melodies, and the ability to go deep meditation ambient to heavy rock in a minute as needed. Here are some sparse demos of recent tunes I have written, kept them simple so others could add parts - https://soundcloud.com/user-296726248/sets/2022-demos?si=b81b5d24002f450c8a38f9ddfebaf51a&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing Some bands/artists I pull from influence for this project are: Blind Pilot, Fleet Foxes, Decembrist, Milo Greene, S.Carey, Nickle Creek, Wilco, Down Like Silver, Ween, Sigur Ros, Bon Iver, Flyte. But, I doubt it ends up sounding like any of them and that is the great thing about music! Would be interested in adding 2/3 of the following players to start composing (vocals that is a mezzo soprano a big plus!) • Hook/Lead/Nashville tune/fingerstyle guitarist with vocals • Bass with vocals • Keys/pads with vocals • Strings/mandolin with vocals • Multi of any of the above with vocals You will note a theme in the above, harmonic or co-lead singing will be an important aspect of this project and anyone not playing drums must be able to sing at some level(not necessarily lights out, just on key). At the same time vocals alone isn’t sufficient, while you could end up just singing on a song you should know your way around an instrument, its just more interesting. Finally, live this would be 93%+ originals, covers will be limited to songs we can do in an exceptional/interesting/fun(funny) way, aka you have to know how to write on your instrument. Just setting expectations:) Project Goals 1. Compose a full set of fantastic originals 2. Play said originals out live regionally (Columbus to Cincy, maybe Indy if it makes sense) 3. Pro record the cream of the crop of said originals to an album so we have a memento of our work Add. Anything else is gravy, but the above is possible even for folks on a busy schedule with the skill and a bit of effort If you are interested after all the above hit me up with some demos of you work, if all seems legit we can set up a time to meet in the near future to talk shop, share riffs, and see if we can do something fun and wonderful together. Thanks!
