Has your current band gotten a bit stale but not so much that you want to leave... but you still need something new and fresh? Do you have some songs that you would love to play but your current band refuses to play or even try? This might be your chance. I'm looking for other musicians who would be willing to learn a few songs in exchange for being able to play some songs you are passionate about, songs you thought you would never get to play with a band. Two songs per musician in a four piece band means you only have to learn six songs. Personally, there are some power pop gems (E.L.O., The Cars, Jellyfish, Todd Rundgren, Bleu, OK Go, Death Cab For Cutie, Ben Folds Five) I'm aching to play but the guys I normally play with won't touch anything overly adventurous. I'm not looking to form a new or gigging band, although you never know what can happen when people are passionate about something instead of just playing the safe standards. After two or three jams we should know if this is an outlet worth pursuing. Contact me of any of this rings true.
