I have a friend. We’ll call him Rudy Dog. Six years ago Rudy Dog rented me a room out of the house in Inglewood he was leasing. He hardly charged me anything for rent & he wasn’t a weirdo. Over the past 6 years, I witnessed Rudy Dog open his home to all of those who came to his door asking for a place to kick it, take a shower, eat a meal & lay their head for a few days. Rudy Dog was one of the coolest people I have ever met. After Covid had settled a bit, around March/April 2022 we all had to move out of the house. No one had jobs or much money saved up if any due to all of the setbacks caused by Covid. We all went our separate ways, no one really had a plan. Everything just seemed to be getting a little harder trying to get back on our feet. I would talk to Rudy Dog every now & then; speaking to him I could tell things weren’t going well. Rudy Dog did have one thing going for him besides his fight to stay above water and that was his work van & all of his plumbing tools. Rudy Dog is a top notch plumber. He’s a hustler. He’ll get the job done & done correctly. Besides his Will to survive he had his plumbing business that kept him afloat. Unfortunately, Rudy Dog had some parking tickets that were adding up & eventually the worst came up upon him, his work van was getting towed. He pleaded with the tow officer if he could just get his tools out of the van, they would not let him. Rudy tried to get his belongings from the tow yard, they would not let him. There was an issue with the registration and he could not find the previous owner to help retrieve his belongings. Weeks passed by and soon his van would be auctioned off. He was going to go to the tow yard to try to buy his vehicle back but his ride fell through & he lost everything and is now without a vehicle, tools and doing the couch tour of America. I’m asking anyone could you donate some tools? A work truck/van? Anything to help Rudy Dog get back on his feet. He has been so kind to all opening his doors. Now he needs some help. I am not asking for a hand out I’m asking for a hand up. Please help Rudy. Any responses and I will reach Rudy Dog & give him your info etc… Thank you for your time & consideration.
