Successful Hudson County NJ Developer / Builder / Architectural, hiring FULL TIME HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (non-union), 5 to 10+ years mid / high rise construction, underground utilities excavation/installation, building foundations, general sitework: excavators, dump trucks, other heavy machines. Physically able & willing to work boots on the ground w site workers as needed. CDL a big plus but may not be required if skills & experience are very strong. Long-term opportunity: multiple current & scheduled projects, years of work ahead. Job reports to Construction & Utilities Superintendent, works with in-house civil engineers, equipment operators, site workers & external subcontractors. EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: -5 to 10+ years’ heavy machine operating, inspecting & basic maintenance on excavators, dump trucks, cats, backhoes, skid steers, lulls, trackhoes, etc. -General sitework, roadwork, utilities work, flagging, shoot grades & stake out areas: excavating, digging, trenching, grading, move dirt, old debris & new construction materials. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: -Range of $40.00/hr. to start + overtime. Paid parking, Health/Dental/Vision, 401K, paid sick, personal, vacation time, holidays. REQUIREMENTS / PREFERENCES: -English speaking. -MUST live only in North or Central NJ, Manhattan, Staten Island with reasonable commute to Jersey City NJ. -Proof of legal status to work in US + current drivers license + social security card. -CDL, OSHA certifications, other training / certifications are very useful but may not be required if you meet other qualifications-- we'll help you get OSHA 10 & Flagger certifications and learn shooting grades if hired. -Some overtime required.
