Description
I have too many projects and not nearly enough time. Plus winter is coming.
Well lit, well equipped shop, Boat is right outside the shop, and Mustang is in the shop. But ideally bring your own hand tools, sockets. I have air compressor and impacts.....pretty much everything except a lift, but I don't want to be playing the part of being the tool runner. Shop is heated if need be.
First project, Salmon boat with a crank but no start. Odd amperage on electric choke wire, wire gets super hot, must be shorted. Distributor with points conversion is suspect. Mercruiser 3.7L inboard, good large engine bay, with a fully equipped shop 10 feet away. Boat has 2 of these 4 cylinder
Second project: 1966 Mustang. Complete engine dress up project, car has not run in 6 years, but garage kept. New MSD to be moved inside the cab. New dual plane intake manifold. Reinstall the rest, and get it running. Engine was rebuilt 7,000 miles ago.
Third project. 2007 F150, get air-con working again. It went bad when installing a 2 fan electric fan system and I think the tech screwed up / picked the wrong aircon relay to tie into the fan controls.
Well lit, well equipped shop, but ideally bring your own hand tools, sockets, etc. I have everything, but don't want to be playing the part of being the tool running boy. Air available.
After the Mustang is running, I wish to move it to the real shop to perform floor pan replacement. Splatter paint inside trunk, and reassembly and have it ready for springtime. Next year will be quarter panels and maybe a 9" posi, and maybe the cowl repair....we shall see when the time comes.
Advise your experience and if not interested in particular projects. I would like to start and finish with 1 mechanic, so if you only have a weekend to spare its probably not the right fit. It can run over several weekends though and my schedule is flexible.
