We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and skilled General Maintenance/Custodial/Grounds Laborer who is capable of working with minimal supervision. This position also works as a member of a team and must have general knowledge of plant care, lawn/garden equipment and how to diagnose issues while out in the field. This is a full-time position, serving a prestigious self-managed private high-end residential community near Laguna Beach. Compensation is hourly and dependent on experience. Excellent benefits are provided. Primary duties include cleaning, groundskeeping, set up and tear down for events, and general maintenance support. Landscape responsibilities include bed cleaning and preparation; mulching; planting of flowers, shrubs, and small trees; irrigation work and some maintenance and other related work. Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to work within a crew efficiently, communicate effectively with co-workers and community members, and adapt to changes quickly. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications • Two years’ experience as a landscaper, groundskeeper or similar occupation. • High School Diploma or equivalent. • High level of organization and attention to detail. • Motivated self-starter with good verbal communication skills and ability to perform routine tasks without supervision. • A strong work ethic and ability to pass a drug test and background check. • Valid California driver’s license and good driving record. • Must be able to speak English. • Available to work Wednesday through Sunday, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., as well as some evenings and holidays as needed.
