SUMMARY The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the daily activity of the warehouse and acts as the lead team member. The Supervisor works as part of the team, directing the methods of work, providing real-time training, and completing documentation as work is completed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Assists the Warehouse Manager by overseeing all warehouse activities and specifically oversees all receiving and distribution operations. -Ensures all customer and store orders are processed correctly and on time. -Works with Warehouse Manager to revise work policies and/or procedures for safety and/or cost improvements. -Supports a product relationship with warehouse vendors. Works with the Warehouse Manager to evaluate current vendors and recommend new vendor partnerships to improve warehouse operations. -Train or re-train warehouse crew members in proper handling and safety techniques in real time. -Meets daily with leads to ensure daily productivity goals are met or exceeded. -Adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment. -Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise. -Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards. -Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, sweep, dust, and mop. -Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness. -Other duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: -Must have at least 2 years of supervisory and operations experience in a high-volume distribution environment. -Must have a solid understanding of warehouse operations including logistics, shipping, and receiving procedures. -Ability to manage multiple projects, delegate to appropriate staff and meet specific goals and deadlines. -Must be able to operate a forklift and be certified. -Experience with Warehouse Management systems required. -Experience with NetSuite and Shopify and ship-station preferred but not required. -Must be available to sometimes work overtime and weekends depending on seasonal projects and volume of orders requiring fulfillment (Ability to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons). -Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. WORK ENVIRONMENT -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. -The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. -Employee will be exposed to seasonal climates (can be very warm during Spring/Summer; cooler during Fall/Winter). -Drive a forklift. -Stand, walk and/or lift, for 6-8-hour periods. -Adult content environment. -The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
