Description

COUCH POTATO! Riley is currently living in a foster home and is doing AMAZING!! She is crate trained, house broken and has been a joy to have around the house. She enjoys strolls around the neighborhood and rides in the car. Her favorite thing is to get in her doggy pool or mud puddles!! She is content playing with her toys and is great at keeping herself entertained. Riley prefers cuddling on the couch over running laps, so if you're looking for a low-moderate energy level dog, Riley is perfect! She lives with two of our volunteers that she knows and trusts and looks to them in situations she's unsure of. Riley does get nervous in new situations and her teeth will chatter so it may take several introductions for her to get comfortable with a new routine. She absolutely LOVES her crate and enjoys spending time in it. We feel a large crate will help her adjust in her new home and give her a safe place while she adjusts to her new surroundings. Riley is truly a great dog and deserves a family of her own! For more information on our adoptions or to see Riley's webpage, visit http://www.PawsOfHertfordCounty.org. Our process: If you are interested in Riley's or any of our adorable adoptables, please fill out an adoption application here: https://www.pawsofhertfordcounty.org/forms/. An adoption counselor will be in contact with you following the submission of your application. If approved, they will arrange a meet and greet at one of our monthly trips to Chesapeake or at our shelter. Visits to the shelter are by appointment only, as we are a volunteer-run rescue organization. All PAWS dogs are spayed/neutered, and current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm. All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.
