Description

We Need Your Ideas and Feedback As you know, amazing things can happen when people to come together, share ideas and work to make a vision real. Nonprofit organizations in many communities across the US are collaborating and co-locating together in nonprofit centers to share resources, space and back-office services. We invite you to join with other local leaders to explore the potential to develop a nonprofit center in the Dan River Region. What is a Nonprofit Center? Nonprofit centers are buildings where multiple nonprofit organizations locate their office or service spaces. By operating in one facility, organizations are able to share information, resources and services. Through this collaboration, organizations can use precious resources more efficiently. Sometimes nonprofit centers can also serve as a “one stop shop” to provide services to more people more effectively. Nonprofit centers have successfully been developed to serve hundreds of communities across the US and Canada. How Do I Participate? This Town Hall Visioning Session will be the first chance for you to contribute ideas and feedback and learn more about how a Nonprofit Center in the Dan River Region could support collaboration, innovation and efficiency for local organizations. This Town Hall is part of a feasibility study being conduct for an advisory group of local nonprofit and community leaders by The Nonprofit Centers Network, a national charitable organization that supports the growth of nonprofit centers and shared back-office services.
