The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace is a powerful and compelling account of the descent into war, and the terrible consequences that result. Set within the framework of the Christian Mass, The Armed Man is a major choral work which uses both sacred and secular texts. The Salt Lake Choral Artists will present this profound and moving work on October 15, 2022 in Libby Gardner Hall. It will feature the SLCA Concert Choir, Vocal Artists, and orchestra. The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins was commissioned for the millennium celebrations by Britain’s Royal Armouries and dedicated to the victims of the Kosovo crisis.
