In the meantime, come learn about how so many markets have shifted this year -- is the hot real estate market finally starting to swing into buyer's favor? what's going on with rentals and why are they so expensive? what's up with interest rates? will the stock market be down forever? AHHH! We'll discuss it all. What to Expect: A very short crash course from each presenter - as much information we can give in 10-15 minutes, with a 5-minute Q&A afterwards. Content that will be covered: 1. We'll talk about investing basics, but what's the first step? Pay off student loan debt? Get your credit card under control? Balance a budget? Start an emergency fund? What is the best thing to do given current market conditions? There is a lot of good advice out there, but let's determine the first step. 2. The current real estate market and how to navigate it successfully. The market has been all over the place this year - what does it look like right now and what's it expected to look like for the next few months. An overview for first-time buyers, sellers and building new construction. 3. Overview of mortgage loans/types (there are a lot!), payment/downpayment examples, the “not so scary” pre-approval process, common financing questions given the steady rise in interest rates. 4. Common insurance mistakes, what $10 or less a month can do for Renters, and the big question: what goes into determining my monthly auto & home premium payments?
