On Saturday, October 8th, Sundad, a twice Grammy nominated, internationally known acoustic band described as “World Fusion, New Age” and Jam-Band music, will appear in Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT)’s Music in the Box Series. Father and son guitarists, John Eurell, Sr. and John Eurell, Jr. along with Kendall Buchanan on bass and Abe Speller on drums, perform a wide assortment of pieces that have made numerous top charts including World/New Age radio charts. Reviewers on GarageBand.com voted one track as All-Time Best Guitars in the World Fusion category. Maria of The Moonlight Stream on BostonPete.com says: "Sundad creates World Fusion and New Age music -- intricate rhythms and beautiful guitar harmonies that capture your heart and soul." Sundad will play two sets starting at 7:30 at WCT’s black box performance space, 23 Water St., Ossining, NY. Cash bar and refreshments available. About Sundad Their first CD, Journey To Eternity, received a first round Grammy Nomination for 2005 Best Contemporary World Album. The CD debuted at #3, remained in the Top 50 for 6 straight months, aired across the USA on over 180 public radio stations, internationally in Spain, Belarus, Canada, Romania, Australia and Japan. Their second CD, The Journey Continues, was released in June of 2008, and immediately hit the World / New Age radio spin charts at Number 3. The CD also received a 2008 1st Round Grammy Nomination for Best POP Instrumental Album. Sundad's music has aired numerous times on the nationally syndicated "Echoes" radio show with host John Diliberto and is in rotation on Galaxie, Canada’s most widely distributed digital audio network, on Sirius/XM satellite radio, and cable TV's Music Choice. About Westchester Collaborative Theater Westchester Collaborative Theater is a multicultural, cooperative theater company located in Ossining, NY, dedicated to developing new work for the stage and bringing live theater to the community. It is comprised of local playwrights, actors, and directors who employ a Lab approach in which new stage works are nurtured through an iterative process of readings, critiques, and rewrites. When work is ready for production, it is presented to the public at its new theater space. WCT is committed to furthering theater arts in our community. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and a recipient of production grants from ArtsWestchester and New York State Council on the Arts.
