Description
A sweet black cat showed up in my yard for a couple nights, near 22nd and Pantano. This was Mon-Tues, Sept 26 & 27. Then he wasn't around on the 28th. He had a collar on and was super friendly, letting me pet him (I think it's male, but not sure). So I put my phone number on the collar hoping someone would call me and I could find out if he is safe.
On Thursday night Sept 29th, a woman called me based on my number on his collar. He was about 1-1/2 miles away from where I live! Near Gollob and Kenyon. She didn't hang onto him though. Now I realized he didn't live near me. He's lost!
I went out searching late at night and believe it or not, I found him! He was by Gale Elementary School on Gollob (between Camino Seco & Harrison, and between Broadway and 22nd). He came right over!
I now have him safe in my house. I'll get him scanned for a microchip tomorrow. But if that doesn't work, I hope I can find his owner via CL, Nextdoor, Pawboost, the Tucson Lost and Found Pets FB page, or one of the other lost pet sites.
Oh yeah, someone else on NExtdoor thinks they saw the same cat near 22nd and Kolb on Sept 12th. This cat can really travel far!
Is this your cat? If you think it is, describe its markings and the collar it was wearing. Reply to me by phone, text, or email. Thanks.
