You will learn the fundamentals of flame working to make glass beads in this class. Glass beads are an ancient art form that has practiced around the world for over 3,500 years Instruction will be provided on safety, how to add glass to a mandrel, shaping the bead, and decoration methods using a variety of colorful glass. Participants will create 4-8 unique class beads to keep. Beads will be available for pickup at Crafted one week after the class. Your instructor, Steve Bay, is a glass artistwho creates sculpture and jewelry using flameworking and fusing (@stevebayglass). With a professional background in environmental science, Steve loves to capture the beauty and remarkable design of nature in his art. Class size is limited to six persons to ensure personal attention from the instructor. Participants must be at least 16 years of age. All supplies and materials will be provided. Questions?
