Description

Bring a pad and pen to take notes, because Sisters In Crime Atlanta has assembled a prestigious group of authors and editors to teach even a novice the skills needed to write, critically read, and submit short fiction for publication. Our Workshop will include a detailed introduction to the craft of short fiction. “The Fundamentals of Writing Short Crime Fiction” will be presented by retired college professor and 2018 Georgia Author of the Year, Roger Johns. Edgar and Shamus Award-nominated author Michael Bracken will draw on his experience authoring 1,200 short stories and editing Black Cat Mystery Magazine to provide you with the inside information on getting published. In "Wrote it? Sell it! How to Get Your Short Stories Published" Michael will dive deep into what you need to make a sale. And lastly a distinguished panel of short story writers from the Metro Atlanta area will hold a Short & Deadly Q & A Forum. Have your questions answered by multiple Award Nominated & Winning Authors Mary Dutta, Robert Gwaltney, Ann Hite, and J.B. Stevens. *The Georgia Center for the Book/Decatur Library Requests that you bring a mask to wear while in the auditorium*
