Join us for an artful community experience amplifying the voices of BIPOC Angeleno workers, sounding the call for economic justice, and celebrating a shared cultural history of resilience. We will hustle and shine together!
Take a trip through our journey and experience amazing art about mutual aid, collective action and rising up against systems that try to keep us from thriving. See how our joy is unstoppable
Creative Resilience will shine a light on BIPOC Angeleno workers’ experiences of pre- and post-pandemic economic hardship and the rich history of coming together through mutual aid and lifting each other up to take control of our futures. Mutual aid can look like resources, protection, support, rapid response, education, and community building. Creative Resilience will include practical applications of mutual aid related to the economy and work, situated amongst artful depictions of solidarity, workers, challenges for workers in the past and present, and an envisioning of the future of LA labor. It will showcase 80-100 works of art by 50 artists locally and nationally, known and emerging.
