Join Lisa Shockley, Curator of Collections at the Kansas City Museum for a conversation centered around the “Buddy Lee” mascot doll, dating from 1949-1962. Introduced in 1922 as a large in-store marketing piece, Buddy Lee quickly became in demand as a regular doll available to consumers. By the late 1950s, he was one of the most popular dolls in America, and the H. D. Lee Company sold them into the early 1960s. Learn about Buddy Lee and visit him in the exhibits at Corinthian Hall.
